BCCI cancels 3rd ODI – as ‘Hudhud’ lashes Vizag
The Board of Control for Cricket in India cancelled the third One-day international between India and the West Indies in Visakhapatnam after cyclone ‘Hudhud’ left the ACA-VDCA cricket stadium in an unplayable condition.
“The third game of the Micromax Cup India vs West Indies ODI series 2014, which was to be played at Visakhapatnam on 14 October, has been cancelled as a result of the natural calamity that has impacted the city,” said BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel on Monday.
The last two matches of the ongoing series will be played as per schedule, at Dharamshala and Kolkata on October 17 and 20 respectively.
The teams are currently tied 1-1 in the series after India beat the visitors in the second ODI in Delhi by 48 runs.
The West Indies won the first ODI in Kochi by 124 runs.BCCI cancels 3rd ODI vs West Indies as ‘Hudhud’ lashes Vizag-
