Mumbai airport on high alert after bomb threat

MUMBAI: The Mumbai airport received a threat call on Monday night following which security was stepped up.

The “specific threat” was made to the airport control room via an internet call by a male who identified himself as Vishesh Kumar. The caller claimed that he had heard a group of people in Andheri, North Mumbai planning out a terror strike. “Five vehicles will be blown up between 9 am and 10 am on Tuesday near domestic terminal, international terminal and the Taj Hotel. The impact might be bigger than the 26/11 terror strike,” the caller said.

Airport sources said that the call has been found to be hoax and the police are in the process of tracing the caller.
