Vitara Brezza launched at Rs. 6,99,000
Maruti Suzuki India Limited, on Tuesday, announced the introduction of Vitara Brezza, its compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and has priced the vehicle at Rs. 6,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs. 7,35,983 (ex-showroom Mumbai) onwards.
Vitara Brezza will be available in seven variants and the top variant, called ZDi+ (dual tone), is priced at Rs. 9,68,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs. 10,14,005 (ex-showrom Mumbai). The vehicle will be available only with a 1.3-litre diesel engine.
The company said the bookings for Vitara Brezza is now open at its 1799 dealerships across India.
Maruti Suzuki said the vehicle has a fuel efficiency of 24.3 km per litre. “The fuel effeciency of Vitara Brezza is 10 to 20 per cent superior to existing models in the segment,” the company said.
“Vitara Brezza marks our entry into popular compact SUV segment. This vehicle is set to redefine the rules in the SUV space,” Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., said.
Deliveries of the vehicle will begin by the end of March.
Company’s executive director (Engineering) C.V. Raman told The Hindu that it took three-and-half-years to develop the vehicle and it is conceived, designed, developed and manufactured in India.
The company is also planning to come out with a petrol variant of the vehicle.
