Madame Tussauds clicks hundreds of pictures to make NaMo’s wax statue perfect

New Delhi: The new resident at the Madame Tussauds will be none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to make him look “lifelike,” hundreds of pictures have been clicked.

Through a series of tweets, Madame Tussauds had yesterday made major revelations in this regard.

Describing Modi as “one of the most influential statesmen on the world stage,” the British waxworks museum said that it will unveil figures of the Indian PM at its four attractions in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok, in April.

A Youtube video released by the Hong Kong museum of Madame Tussauds says the figure will be dressed in his “signature Kurta in cream with jacket and he will be featured in a traditional pose making a namaste gesture.”

Reacting to this, Modi said in a statement, “Madame Tussauds has crafted figures of very distinguished dignitaries from around the world – how could I regard myself worthy of being alongside them? But when I was informed that your decision had emanated from public opinion and public statement, I was comforted.”

“During my sitting, I observed the team carefully and was deeply impressed by its dedication, professionalism and skill. I have visited Madame Tussauds three or four times and had the pleasure of getting myself photographed standing next to the figures of various dignitaries,” it added.

PM had given the museum’s team of artists and experts a sitting at his residence in New Delhi earlier this year.

The museum had earlier featured other political figures from India, including wax-works of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.

The museum also includes statue of Indian celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar
