‘Rustom’ beats ‘Mohenjo Daro’ at Box Office?

New Delhi: It seems like Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ has left behind heartthrob Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ at the Box Office. Latest reports claim that the Tinu Suresh Desai directorial is attracting more audience.

“‘Rustom’ is leading… It is performing better than “Mohenjo Daro”. It got decent reviews and people are liking this film more. ‘Mohenjo Daro’ did not seem to be appealing to the audience, while there was curiosity and hype around ‘Rustom’,” film distributor Rajesh Thadani told PTI.

He added, “there is a holiday period ahead and it seems both the films will benefit from it. I think over the weekend ‘Rustom’ should do Rs 40 crore and ‘Mohenjo Daro’ will do Rs 20-25 crore.”

Both the films were released on August 12 this year. However, the Ashutosh Gowariker’s movie proved successful in grabbing more screens.

Now, it would be really interesting to analyse the official Day 1 earnings of ‘Rustom’ and ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
