For the last 60 Years , nobody had ever thought this kind of Flood in Jammu & Kashmir state. Almost 2500 villages have been affected, 450 completely submerged in water, officially 160 dead and hundreds of thousands still lving in water. The Indian Army has given a Salute full services to save people, animals and has served a slam to the pewople who were against them.  According to the Union Minister For Home, Mr. Rajnath Singh, Every help is and will be given to deal the Natural Calamity in this situation.

The Chief Minister of the State, Mr. Omar Abdullah, said that the top priority of the state was to ensure safety to the people who are still trapped in the submerged areas. He further told that major crops of paddy, maize, vegetables and fruits over a large area has been destroyed.

The Commissioner Secretary Revenue And Relief said 390 villages were completely submerged, 1225 partially and 1000 villages in jammu region were affected by the flood waters. He told further that 50 bridges, hundreds of kilometer of roads and power installation units were damaged.

Final figures for the total loss assesments can be done after the flood waters receds.
