Nation remembers “Missile Man” on his 1st death anniversary

New Delhi: Several political personalities on Wednesday paid tributes to the “Missile Man” and former president of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his first death anniversary.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday announced the foundation stone for a memorial to the former president will be laid on July 27 at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, where his mortal remains were laid to rest.

Dr.Kalam had collapsed while delivering a lecture to the management students of the IIM-Shillong on July 27 last year. He was rushed to the Bethany hospital, where he was declared dead due to a massive cardiac arrest.
