Terror attack foiled in Assam’s Kokrajhar; 7-kg IED recovered

Kokrajhar (Assam): A major terror bid was foiled in Assam on Friday a day ahead of the Independence Day.

As per reports, a joint team of the Indian Army and Assam Police neutrailsed Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) terrorists who were trying to plant an improvised explosive device (IED) on a railway track.

The security personnel recovered a seven-kilogram IED along with a detonator from the terrorists.

A 7.65 mm pistol, a pistol magazine, fired cases and live rounds, and two hand grenades were also recovered.
