ICC World T20: Slight rainfall in Kolkata ahead of Indo-Pak clash at Eden Gardens

New Delhi: Kolkata witnessed slight rainfall in the morning as weather gods didn’t show mercy ahead of the blockbuster ICC World Twenty20 clash between India and Pakistan at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.

According to latest reports, clear skies have been witnessed across Kolkata after rainfall stopped in the city.

The much awaited mother of all battles has already seen its fair share of drama over venue allocation and security concerns.

The match was earlier supposed to be held at Dharamsala but owing to protests from ex-army personnel and right wing activists, it was shifted to Kolkata.

The weather is unpredictable and it could threaten the game to be held tonight at 7:30 pm. Interestingly, there was fresh snowfall too in Dharamsala in the wee hours of Saturday.

According to skymet, the clouds could make way for a brighter sky later in the day. Although light to moderate rainfall is expected to scatter in and around Kolkata.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and cricket lovers all around the world will be hoping for an uninterrupted match as anxiety levels could rise as the day progresses.
