Sensex, Nifty Edge Up; Bajaj Auto, Infosys, Cipla, RIL Top Gainers

Sensex and Nifty rose on Friday. BSE Sensex opened nearly 82 points higher at 33,670 points while NSE Nifty50 opened at 10,367 points, nearly 18 points higher than the previous session’s closing.

At 9.45 am, BSE Sensex trades 93 points, or 0.28% higher, at 33,676 points. The NSE Nifty trades at 10,381 points, 32 points, 0.31% higher than Thursday’s closing .

Major gainers in the early trade are Bajaj Auto, Infosys, Cipla, Reliance Industries (RIL) and Kotak Mahindra Bank that trade higher in the range of 0.80% to 1.5%.

Major losers of the 30-share gauge are Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel, Adani Ports and Asian Paints that fall in the range of 0.5% and 1.09%.

Among sectoral indices, BSE auto index, BSE IT index and BSE industrials index are among the top gainers. Among the Nifty sectoral indices, Nifty metal and Nifty media indices are the worst peformers on Friday.
