5.6-magnitude earthquake in Assam

NEW DELHI: Earthquake of magnitude 5.6 on richter scale struck Assam on Sunday morning at around 6.40am. Tremors were felt in Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and eastern part of India.

The epicentre of the earthquake is reported to be in 23km north of Basugaon in Assam.No damage has been reported.
