Armymen who retired prematurely will get OROP: PM Narendra Modi

NEW DELHI: Allaying fear of veterans on one rank one pension, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said armed forces personnel who retired prematurely will be entitled to OROP.

At a rally here in Haryana while inaugurating a new Delhi Metro line, Modi said,” Armed forces personnel who retired prematurely will be entitled to OROP.”

He said a commission has been proposed to be set up to address any shortcomings, if any, in the OROP decision.

Coming heavily on Congress, PM said the party has no right to question government over OROP when it did nothing in 40 years.
