Deadlock continues: Jammu and Kashmir

BJP president Amit ShahBJP president Amit Shah will meet the state BJP core group on Monday at New Delhi BJP headquarters to discuss the possible alliance with the PDP as no headway appears on formation of the new government in Jammu and Kashmir for the last 14 days.

The group will meet Shah for discussion on the latest political situation and emerging alignment in the state.

Shah is likely to apprise the core group members about latest developments over the formation of government in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to sources, Amit Shah and BJP’s national general secretary, Ram Madhav may meet the group member one to one and take their feedback.

Final alignment is expected to be between the BJP and the PDP after core group of Jammu and Kashmir state BJP gives green signal to the alliance.

The BJP leaders before taking any final decision with PDP want to share with the core group final agreement and common minimum programme between the two parties, sources added.

State president, Jugal Kishore Sharma, three former presidents, Dr Nirmal Singh, Ashok Khajuria, Shamshar Singh Manhas, Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS in the PMO, Kavinder Gupta, Bali Bhagat and Rajiv Jasrotia are members of the core group.

The core group is the final body to take decision with the help of Amit Shah, BJP president and Prime Minister Modi.
