Navratri Day 7 – Worship Maa Kalaratri to destroy ignorance
Each day of Navratri is dedicated to one of the nine forms of – Goddess Durga – who denotes Stree Shakti or woman power.
Today, on Saptami, which is the seventh day, Goddess Kalratri is worshipped.

Famous in ancient Hindu literature as the most violent form of Goddess Durga, Kalaratri is worshipped on the seventh day of Navratra. Kalaratri is believed to be the destroyer of all demoniacal powers, i.e., kaal.
What does Maa Kalaratri do?
Maa Kalaratri destroys ignorance and removes darkness.
She reminds us about the fact that sorrow, pain, destruction, decay and death are inevitable and one can’t escape them.
वाम पादोल्ल सल्लोहलता कण्टक भूषणा |
वर्धन मूर्ध ध्वजा कृष्णा कालरात्रि भर्यङ्करी ||
