Mumbai Police to question Indrani Mukerjea’s son Mikhail today

Mumbai: Mikhail Bora, the son of Indrani Mukerjea, will be brought here by Mumbai Police on Friday for questioning in connection with his sister Sheena Bora’s murder case.

While speaking to media on Thursday, Mikhail spoke about the concrete evidence which he claims he has that could prove the motive behind the high-profile murder.

Speaking to reporters in Guwahati where he stays, Mikhail said that he has photographs and a recorded phone conversation as evidence.

As the murder mystery of Sheena Bora, Indrani Mukerjea’s daughter, unfolds with stories of sleaze, betrayal and family feud, reports yesterday had claimed that Mikhail was the next target of former media honcho.

In a sordid twist, reports claimed that former STAR CEO Peter Mukerjea’s wife Indrani, after murdering Sheena, had planned to kill her own son Mikhail Bora.

Reports say that Indrani had many times tried to persuade Mikhail to visit Mumbai so that he could be eliminated.

Reports further revealed that Indrani and her former husband Sanjeev Khanna used to pay Rs 40,000 to Mikhail to meet his daily needs.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria has maintained that Sheena was murdered on April 24, 2012. Her body was found on May 23 that year after Indrani’s driver Shyam Rai revealed the murder site to police.

Both Indrani and the driver were arrested on Tuesday on charges of killing Sheena and disposing off her body in Raigad, near Mumbai. A court sent Indrani to police custody till August 31.
