Blasts In Jakarta, Casualties Reported

AKARTA: At least three persons are reported killed in blasts in the centre of the Indonesian capital Jakarta on Thursday.

According to the an official Jakarta police Twitter account explosions went off in front of a shopping centre called the Sarinah mall and a United Nations office. Another blast occurred near a Starbucks cafe, reported an eyewitness.

A police post on a main street was damaged after six blasts were heard. At least three casualties were seen lying on the street, said reports.

Gunfire was heard in the area afterwards.
