Sheena murder case: Indrani Mukerjea’s police custody ends, accused to be produced before court
Mumbai: Former media honcho Peter Mukerjea’s wife Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai will be produced before court on Monday as their police custody in connection with Sheena Bora murder case ends today.
Indrani was taken to her Worli residence yesterday by Mumbai Police for the first time since her arrest where the crime scene was recreated.
It has been reported that after murdering Sheena, the three accused kept the body in the car in Indrani’s Worli’s residence during the night before dumping it in Raigad the next day.
The custody of the three accused was extended till today during the last court appearance on September 5 after Mumbai Police said that Indrani was not cooperating in the probe with the investigators.
Special Public Prosecutor Vaibhav Bagade had said that she was a “hard nut to crack”.
Meanwhile, the forensic results of the samples of skeletal remains found in Raigad forest are awaited.
Indrani, Khanna and Rai have been arrested in the case pertaining to the murder of her daughter Sheena and the disposal of the body in a Raigad forest in April 2012.
